Progress in Fruit Juice from Akman

Akman Holding, among strong firms in the fruit juice industry, released to the market their new Golden brand products.Target group of the firm is the children.

Akman Holding, one of the important actors of fruit juice, speeded up its investments in the industry. Ali Akman, Chairman of Board of Directors of Akman Holding, stated that they offered a new sort of fruit beverage to the market under the Golden brand.

TARGET GROUP CHILDREN
Akman stated that fizzy and aromatic beverages were banned by the Ministry of National Education from sale at school canteens in 2011 with the aim of ensuring the students to be nourished healthily and said “This development paved the way for fruit juice industry”. Melisa Akman, Member of the Board of Directors of Akman Holding, pointed that fruit juice consumption was rapidly increasing in Turkey. Akman emphasized that consumption rate of children under age of 12 constituted 28 percent of the market and said “Golden is formed from 4 sorts which are orange, sour cherry, peach and apricot”.

BLACK CARROT EXPORT
Akman stated that their new product had very low calories and it was obesity fighter and that they would achieve a good sale graphic with this product. Ali Akman stated that they produced the juice of black carrot, which is grown only in Turkey. Akman stated that they started to export the product to Japan, which they will also sell to the Turkish market in 2014 and said: “Demand from Japan is very high. At first phase we received an order of 214 thousand dollars”.
